Holosun 407K X2

The Holosun 407K X2 is the value sibling to the 507K X2. Same 7075 aluminum housing, same K Series / modified RMSc footprint, same Shake Awake auto-on, same side-loading CR1632 battery, same 50,000-hour runtime. The difference is the reticle: the 407K X2 ships with a single 6 MOA dot only, no multi-reticle system, no circle-dot. That simpler reticle is why it costs roughly $100 less than the 507K X2 at $220 street.

For Ruger Max-9 owners who want a Holosun K-series optic without paying the 507K X2 premium, the 407K X2 is the right call. The Max-9 slide accommodates both the Holosun K footprint and the Shield RMSc footprint, which means the 407K mounts directly with no adapter plate. The 6 MOA dot is bigger than the 507K's 2 MOA dot and easier to acquire under stress at conversational defensive distances, but smears slightly more under recoil and is less precise past 15-20 yards.

The Holosun reliability track record applies. Same Shake Awake activation, same side-loading battery (no zero loss on swap), same IP67 waterproof rating. The K Series footprint slightly differs from canonical Shield RMSc on slides that are cut tight to spec, but the Max-9 slot is generous enough to accept both.
