Overview

The Taurus G3c is the compact sibling to the G3 and the bestselling Taurus pistol in the United States. The 3.2-inch barrel and 5.1-inch height keep it concealable for appendix and strong-side IWB carry while preserving 12+1 capacity in the flush magazine. The G3c shares the G3's full-size internals (single-action striker with restrike, manual safety, loaded chamber indicator) in a smaller package weighing 22 oz unloaded.

The G3c accepts G3 17-round magazines for range and reload work, which is the meaningful capacity advantage over the SIG P365 (10 to 17 rounds depending on mag) and Hellcat (11 to 13 rounds). Magazine cross-fit between G3c and G3 is the same direction Glock 19 / Glock 17 cross-fit works: the smaller gun runs the bigger gun's mags with a sleeve or just exposed grip.

The G3c T.O.R.O. variant ($397) is the cheapest optics-ready compact striker on the market. The Shield RMSc cut accepts every common micro-compact red dot — Holosun 407K X2, EPS Carry, SIG Romeo Zero Elite, Vortex Defender-CCW — without slide milling. Sights are polymer factory three-dot, drift-adjustable for windage. Iron sight upgrades are mandatory for serious carry use; the Meprolight Hyper-Bright tritium set ($93) is the standard answer.

Key Features

  • 12+1 capacity flush magazine (cross-fits 17-round G3 mags)
  • 3.2-inch tenifer-treated steel barrel
  • Polymer frame with Picatinny accessory rail
  • Restrike capability for failed primers
  • Manual safety + striker block + loaded chamber indicator
  • G3c T.O.R.O. ships optic-ready (Shield RMSc cut)
  • Cross-fit magazines with full-size G3

Pros

  • +Cheapest compact 9mm striker on the market at $290 street
  • +Cross-fit magazines with the full-size G3 (12+1 flush, 17+1 with G3 mag)
