SilencerCo
The original user-serviceable stainless rimfire can, the easiest .22 suppressor to clean and the best value at $349.
+9 more
The SilencerCo Sparrow 22 is the most proven rimfire suppressor on the market and the easiest to clean. Its 17-4 and 316 stainless monocore strips out with no special tools, which matters because .22 LR fires unjacketed lead over dirty powder and fouls a can faster than any other cartridge. At $349 it is the lowest-priced entry among the top-tier rimfire cans, and the stainless construction is more forgiving of neglect than titanium baffle stacks.
The Sparrow runs 6.5 oz and 5.08 inches on a 1/2x28 direct thread, with a 1.07-inch diameter slim enough to clear factory iron sights on most hosts. It is rated for .22 LR, .22 WMR, .17 HMR, .17 WSM, .22 Hornet, and 5.7x28, and it is full-auto rated on .22 LR. On subsonic .22 LR it meters around 112 dB, putting it among the quieter dedicated rimfire cans despite the value pricing.
The tradeoff against titanium rivals like the Banish 22 is weight; the all-stainless build is heavier than a 4 oz titanium can, and the Sparrow is fixed-length with no short pistol configuration. For a 10/22 or a Mark IV that lives at the range, neither is a real drawback, and the cleaning advantage pays off over years of plinking.
