BCM
BCM's nickel-teflon enhanced mil-spec with hand-polished sear surfaces
The BCM PNT ships in every Bravo Company complete rifle and lower, which tells you how much BCM trusts it. The trigger and hammer are precision-machined AISI 8620 investment castings per the USGI Technical Data Package, not metal injection molded (MIM) parts. BCM then hand-polishes the sear engagement surfaces to achieve what they claim is a 300% reduction in friction compared to standard mil-spec.
An electroless nickel finish with embedded teflon particles coats the fire control group, reducing felt creep and grit throughout the pull stroke. The disconnector is 1070 material, fine-blanked for cleaner edges, with double disc-ground surfaces for a clean, positive reset. The trigger and hammer go through a three-step heat treat and case hardening process, and the 156/157 pin holes are honed for precise alignment. Impact-resistant trigger and hammer pins are centerless ground and included.
At $66, the PNT undercuts both ALG options while delivering a comparable shooting experience. The nickel-teflon coating gives it an edge over the uncoated QMS for carbon resistance in suppressed or high-volume applications. The pull lands around 6 pounds, clean enough for defensive use and consistent enough for basic marksmanship, exactly where an enhanced mil-spec trigger should be.
