BCM Standard 16" M4 SOCOM Upper Receiver Group

The BCM Standard 16" M4 SOCOM upper is the fixed-front-sight host a Block 1 clone is built around. The F-marked front sight base over a carbine-gas barrel is the exact geometry a two-piece Knight's Armament M4 RAS drop-in quad rail clamps onto, so this upper takes the defining Block 1 rail without a barrel-nut change. It ships bare from the front sight forward, with no handguard, because the KAC M4 RAS is the handguard you add.

The 16" SOCOM-profile barrel is rifle-legal as shipped, so the build needs no NFA paperwork and no pin-and-weld to clear the 16-inch minimum. The barrel is forged from MIL-B-11595E CMV steel with a chrome-lined bore, manganese phosphate finish, and a 1:7 twist that runs the full range of 5.56 defensive and training loads. Every barrel is HPT/MPI inspected.

It ships with a BCM bolt carrier group (a current BCM promo), so the bolt is handled; you add a charging handle to complete the upper, then it bolts onto a stripped FN-marked lower and runs. The combination of an F-marked fixed front sight, carbine-length gas, and a delta ring is precisely the spec the KAC M4 RAS needs, which is what keeps a build wearing this upper a true Block 1 and not a Block 2.
