Geissele URG-I Near Clone Complete Upper 14.5"

The Geissele URG-I Near Clone is the closest complete commercial near-clone of the USASOC Upper Receiver Group - Improved (URG-I), the 14.5" upper that replaced SOPMOD Block II carbines across U.S. Army special operations. The 14.5" conversion-kit spec uses a Daniel Defense government-profile mid-length barrel and a mil-spec M16 BCG. Geissele's commercial Near Clone keeps the MK16/SF4P layout but uses a Geissele CHF barrel and REBCG. This is not a Super Duty variant; it is the dedicated URG-I product line and the cleanest buyable upper for anyone assembling a URG-I, Block II, or SOCOM-pattern near-clone.

The 14.5" barrel is cold hammer forged from 41V50 chrome-moly-vanadium steel with a government profile, 1:7 twist, and chrome lining for service-rifle durability. The mid-length gas system runs off a pinned Geissele low-profile Super Gas Block, the same softer-shooting, more reliable gas dwell that defined the URG-I over the shorter carbine-gas Block II uppers. A SureFire SF4P four-prong flash hider sits at the muzzle, permanently pinned and welded. That pin and weld takes the 14.5" barrel past 16" of permanent length, so the assembled upper is rifle-legal on a standard lower with no SBR paperwork and no NFA registration.

Geissele includes the parts that make the URG-I run: the Reliability Enhanced BCG (REBCG) with the Geissele bolt and coating, the Airborne Charging Handle in DDC, and a Super 42 braided wire buffer spring paired with an H1 heavy buffer. Drop it on any mil-spec lower and the package is complete from the charging handle back to the buffer system.
