Scalarworks PEAK/02 Folding Iron Sights

The Scalarworks PEAK/02 is the folding successor to the fixed PEAK/01, built for shooters who want Scalarworks' lightweight sight geometry in a fold-down package. The standard-height SW2000 fits the normal AR co-witness world, while the taller SW2100 version is intended for rifles using 1.93" optic mounts where conventional-height irons sit too low for a useful backup sight picture. That makes the PEAK/02 especially relevant on modern carbines with tall red-dot or LPVO mounts.

The body is machined from 7075-T6 aluminum with Type III hard anodizing. The front sight post and rear aperture pivot on 4140H steel cores with Flash Nitride finish, which Scalarworks chose specifically to keep the deployment mechanism crisp under heavy use without the weight penalty of an all-steel sight. The standard-height set weighs just over 2 oz, while the tall set remains under 2.5 oz.

Adjustments are 0.5 MOA per click, the same increment as most red dots, so zeroing transfers cleanly between the irons and any optic mounted on the same rail. The rear uses same-plane 0.07-inch and 0.20-inch flip apertures, giving a more versatile sight picture than a single fixed aperture. Like the PEAK/01, the PEAK/02 sits low when folded but not as low as the steel MBUS Pro; the gain is the deployment crispness and the 1.93" optic-mount-compatible option.
