Scalarworks PEAK/02 Folding Iron Sights

The Scalarworks PEAK/02 is the folding successor to the fixed PEAK/01, designed in response to one specific gap in the BUIS market: nobody made a premium folding sight that co-witnessed with 1.93" optic mounts. Tall mounts have become the dominant choice for nods-equipped builds, modern carbines with cantilever red dot mounts, and shooters running chin-weld over cheek-weld. Standard 1.42" BUIS sit too low to confirm zero through those optics. The PEAK/02 1.93" version (SW2100) solves that, and it's still the only premium folding option in that height as of 2026.

The body is machined from 7075-T6 aluminum with Type III hard anodizing. The front sight post and rear aperture pivot on 4140H steel cores with Flash Nitride finish, which Scalarworks chose specifically to keep the deployment mechanism crisp under heavy use without the weight penalty of an all-steel sight. Total set weight is roughly 2.5 oz, which puts it between the polymer MBUS 3 (1.9 oz) and the steel MBUS Pro (3.3 oz).

Adjustments are 0.5 MOA per click, the same increment as most red dots, so zeroing transfers cleanly between the irons and any optic mounted on the same rail. The rear aperture is a single match aperture (no dual-leaf CQB option), which is consistent with Scalarworks' fighting-rifle design philosophy: one sight picture, calibrated correctly, at all distances. Like the PEAK/01, the PEAK/02 sits low when folded but not as low as the steel MBUS Pro; the gain is the deployment crispness and the 1.93" height option.
