Griffin Armament
Lightweight billet lower with 60-degree magwell and ambidextrous controls. Precision machined for superior fit and finish.
Griffin Armament's Mk2 ambidextrous lower receiver delivers competition features in an ultra-lightweight forged package. Precision machined from custom-forged 7075-T6 aluminum to exact tolerances, the Mk2 achieves a remarkable 8.9-ounce stripped weight while maintaining the strength and rigidity buyers expect from an aluminum AR lower. Every receiver is machined to Griffin's standards, with premium de-burring and de-flashing that leave a smooth surface.
The standout feature is the aggressive 60-degree magazine well, the steepest angle in the industry, ensuring smooth reloads even in high-stress situations. This pronounced flare guides magazines into the well with minimal precision required, significantly improving reload speed during competition or defensive use. The ambidextrous magazine release and bolt catch/release provide intuitive operation for both left and right-handed shooters.
Type III hardcoat anodizing delivers superior resistance to surface wear, scuffs, scratches, and discoloration from cleaning solvents and oils. The Mk2 is machined to mil-spec tolerances ensuring proper fitment with all standard lower components. Note that the stripped lower includes only the left-side ambidextrous controls; the standard right-side magazine release button is not included but can be added if desired for dual-side operation.
