Smith & Wesson M&P15 AXE 8" .300 BLK SBR

The Smith & Wesson M&P15 AXE is a factory short-barreled rifle built around an 8-inch .300 Blackout barrel and Gemtech's GVAC direct-impingement gas system. GVAC uses an expansion chamber in the gas block to manage excess gas and reduce blowback during suppressed fire. The 1:7.5-twist 5R barrel has an Armornite finish and leaves the 5/8x24 muzzle threads open under a thread protector, so the owner can choose a direct-thread or muzzle-device-based suppressor mount.

The supporting parts are unusually complete for a factory AR. A 7-inch Midwest Industries Combat M-LOK handguard covers the gas system, while a Radian Raptor charging handle, enhanced bolt carrier group, ambidextrous controls, Magpul CTR stock, and Williams folding sights ship installed. The short rail limits accessory space, but the full-length top rail and M-LOK slots still support a compact optic, light, and sling setup.

This exact SKU is sold as an SBR with a shoulder stock, not as the separate brace-equipped pistol. Federal NFA registration and applicable state rules therefore remain part of the ownership decision.
