Compact open-emitter carry optic on the RMSc footprint with red, green, and MRS variants

Cut for the Shield RMSc pattern, the Glock 48 MOS takes micro optics only: two mounting screws with four locating bosses machined into the slide. RMSc-footprint dots seat on those bosses and bolt down directly, no plate involved. Holosun K-series optics (407K, 507K, EPS Carry) share the screw spacing but have two locating pockets rather than four, so on this cut they mount over an adapter plate. RMR-class optics are out entirely; the slimline slide has neither the width nor a plate path to that footprint.
Two different slimline cuts are in circulation, so check the item number on the case sticker first. The original, marked MOS, is the four-boss RMSc pattern. The updated cut Glock began shipping in late 2025 is marked MOSK and uses the two-boss Holosun K pattern, which mounts K-series dots directly with no plate. Same pistol, different mounting answer, and the sticker is how you tell.
These optics carry the Shield RMSc footprint the slide is cut for. Screws, recoil bosses, and pocket all line up, so they seat on the slide with no plate.

These optics use the same screw spacing but a different locating pattern from the Glock 48 MOS slide cut, so they mount on a plate that bolts into the slide and presents the matching pattern to the optic.

Only for some optics. The Glock 48 MOS slide is cut for the Shield RMSc footprint, so Shield RMSc optics bolt straight to the slide with no plate. Optics that do not share that locating pattern, the Holosun 407K X2, Holosun 507K X2 and Holosun EPS Carry among them, mount over an adapter plate that bolts into the slide first.
