Overview

This 13-inch Reptilia ARCA-S in FDE puts a tripod clamp on the handguard itself when the rest of the build is already Flat Dark Earth. Reptilia machines a 2.8-inch ARCA-S section into the rear of the rail, right where it meets the upper receiver, so a tripod head locks to the rifle without an M-LOK ARCA plate hanging off the bottom.

The mount is Reptilia's patented turnbuckle on a standard M4 upper. Torque the barrel nut to 50 ft-lbs, then snug the turnbuckle by hand with red thread locker. M-LOK still runs the rest of the rail for lights, grips, and bipods. The 13-inch FDE rail weighs 377 g, about 13.3 ounces, in machined aluminum.

The ARCA clamp lives only at the receiver junction, so fore-aft tripod placement is fixed there. The matching black rail is the same 13-inch part in a different finish. Reptilia has not released the 11.5-inch length. The barrel-nut and turnbuckle wrench is a separate tool.
