Red Right Hand RECCE IAR V2

Red Right Hand's RECCE IAR V2 is a purpose-built civilian Infantry Automatic Rifle upper designed to handle sustained fire without sacrificing the weight and handling of a standard carbine. The concept mirrors the USMC's M27 IAR program: replace belt-fed volume with a magazine-fed rifle that can sustain higher rates of fire than a standard infantry weapon.

The core of the V2 is Red Right Hand's Heat Mitigation System. The 14.5" Block 4 barrel is encased in machined 6061 aluminum heat sinks that pull thermal energy away from the chamber and barrel, dramatically extending the round count before cook-off temperatures. Shaw Barrels manufactures the Block 4 barrel specifically for integration with these heat sinks, using machine gun-rated 4150 CMV steel with chrome lining and a 1/7 twist.

The Superlative Arms short-stroke piston system replaces the standard direct impingement gas path. This pushes combustion gas and heat forward toward the heat sinks rather than back into the receiver, keeping the bolt carrier group and lower receiver significantly cooler. The piston is adjustable via Allen key, allowing end users to tune for different ammunition, buffer weights, and suppressor configurations. The upper ships complete with the SA bolt carrier, Red Right Hand's OEM mil-spec 9310 MPI bolt, and the buyer's choice of charging handle.
