Daniel Defense
12.55 in M-LOK RIS III, the rail Daniel Defense ships on the DD4 RIII rifle and upper

The 12.55" RIS III is the mid-length of Daniel Defense's M-LOK rail family and the one the company builds its own DD4 RIII rifle and upper receiver group around. It carries the RIS II lineage forward: free-float design, 6061-T6 aluminum, the patented six-bolt bolt-up system with a steel barrel nut, Grade 8 fasteners, and an uninterrupted mil-spec 1913 top rail from receiver to muzzle end.
Accessory mounting moves to seven M-LOK positions along the handguard with integral QD swivel attachment points on both sides. At 16.61 oz it is heavier than the 10.5" version, which is what the extra two inches of aluminum and rail cost, but it covers a 16" mid-length barrel nearly to the gas block and gives a light, laser, and hand stop room to spread out.
Installation is a bolt-up job, not a drop-in. The upside of that is compatibility: the RIS III uses the same barrel nut and bolt-up plate as the RIS II, and the RIS III upper rail works with the RIS II lower rail. Daniel Defense also notes that M203 hangers interfere with pinned and welded muzzle devices, and recommends a gunsmith for RIS III installation on any firearm or upper with a pinned and welded device.
