Delaware Magazine Limit: 17 Rounds

Delaware Code title 11, section 1468 defines a large-capacity magazine as an ammunition feeding device capable of accepting, or that can readily be converted to hold, more than 17 rounds. An attached .22 caliber rimfire tubular device is excluded, and a removable floor plate alone is not enough to show that a device can readily be converted.

Section 1469 exempts federal personnel and armed forces members acting within the scope of official business, law-enforcement officers, qualified retired officers, holders of a valid Delaware concealed carry permit, certain dealer transactions, and devices rendered permanently inoperable or permanently modified to accept 17 rounds or fewer.

There is no federal magazine capacity limit; the 1994 federal assault weapons ban expired in 2004.
