Kentucky Magazine Limit: No Current State Cap

Kentucky Revised Statutes section 65.870 bars cities, counties, consolidated and urban-county governments, special districts, and other local public agencies from occupying any part of the field of regulation of the manufacture, sale, purchase, taxation, transfer, ownership, possession, carrying, storage, or transportation of firearms, ammunition, components of firearms or ammunition, and firearms accessories, unless a statute specifically authorizes or directs the local regulation.

There is no federal magazine capacity limit; the 1994 federal assault weapons ban expired in 2004.
