New Mexico Magazine Limit: No Current State Cap

Article II, section 6 of the New Mexico Constitution protects the right of the citizen to keep and bear arms for security and defense, for lawful hunting and recreational use, and for other lawful purposes, and states that no municipality or county shall regulate, in any way, an incident of that right. The same section states that it does not permit the carrying of concealed weapons.

There is no federal magazine capacity limit; the 1994 federal assault weapons ban expired in 2004.
