Utah Magazine Capacity Limit

Utah Code section 53-5a-102 declares a need for uniform firearm laws and restricts state and local entities from inhibiting the possession, ownership, purchase, sale, transfer, transport, or use of firearms, ammunition, and firearm accessories unless specifically authorized by statute.

There is no federal magazine capacity limit; the 1994 federal assault weapons ban expired in 2004.

Scope: Detachable magazine round-count restrictions for handguns and long guns. States not listed have no capacity limit.
