West Virginia Magazine Limit: No Current State Cap

West Virginia Code section 8-12-5a bars municipalities from limiting, by ordinance or otherwise, a person's right to purchase, possess, transfer, own, carry, transport, sell, or store a firearm, other deadly weapon, or pepper spray, or the ammunition or ammunition components used with it, in any manner inconsistent with or in conflict with state law. Municipalities may still regulate carrying in municipally owned or operated buildings and, within limits, in municipal recreation facilities, and may apply general planning and zoning rules to commercial real estate, but they may not treat firearm and ammunition businesses more restrictively than other retail businesses or impose quantity limits on the lawful sale or servicing of firearms, ammunition, components, or accessories.

There is no federal magazine capacity limit; the 1994 federal assault weapons ban expired in 2004.
