Minnesota Magazine Capacity Limit

Minnesota Statutes section 471.633 preempts local regulation of firearms, ammunition, and their components. It preserves listed powers over discharge and facilities, so local range or public-building rules remain a separate inquiry from a magazine's specifications.

There is no federal magazine capacity limit; the 1994 federal assault weapons ban expired in 2004.
