Arkansas Magazine Limit: No Current State Cap

Arkansas Code section 14-16-504 bars a city, town, or county from regulating the ownership, transfer, transportation, carrying, or possession of firearms, ammunition for firearms, components of firearms, knives, or knife-making components, except as otherwise provided in state or federal law. The section still allows ordinances that regulate or forbid the unsafe discharge of a firearm. It also prohibits a local emergency ordinance regulating the transfer, transportation, or carrying of firearms or their components after the Governor proclaims a state of emergency.

There is no federal magazine capacity limit; the 1994 federal assault weapons ban expired in 2004.
